1. About These Terms
These terms set out the basis on which Mobile Wash & Shine ("we", "us", "our") provides mobile car wash services to you ("you", "your"). By making a booking through our website, you agree to these terms.
2. Who We Are
Mobile Wash & Shine is operated by Deklan Brian Tanner (ABN 68 699 547 618), a fully mobile car wash service based in Aspendale, Victoria, servicing Bayside and surrounding suburbs.
3. Bookings
Bookings are made through our online booking system. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation by phone or email. You are responsible for providing accurate details, including your name, contact number, address and vehicle details, as these are used to carry out your service. By making a booking, you confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle or are authorised by the owner to arrange this service.
4. Site Access Requirements
You need to provide access to an outdoor power outlet and a water source (e.g. a garden tap) at your location. If we arrive and are unable to access suitable power or water that was not flagged with us beforehand, this will be treated as a late cancellation and the terms in Section 6 apply.
5. Vehicle Condition & Additional Charges
Prices are based on a vehicle in normal condition. Vehicles with excessive dirt, mud, pet hair, or biohazards (e.g. bodily fluids, mould, or similar) may require extra time or products. In these cases we may charge a reasonable additional fee, or decline the job — we'll aim to discuss this with you first where practical.
6. Rescheduling & Cancellations
You can reschedule or cancel your booking free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice, using the link provided in your booking confirmation. Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours' notice, or where we arrive and are unable to access your vehicle or site, may incur a cancellation fee of up to the full price of the booked service, at our discretion. If the weather on the day is unsafe or unsuitable for washing, we'll contact you to arrange a new time at no charge — this does not count as a late cancellation. We may also need to reschedule your booking due to circumstances outside our control (for example, illness, vehicle breakdown, or extreme weather) — we'll let you know as soon as possible and offer a new time at no charge to you.
7. Pricing & Payment
Prices are as shown on our website at the time of booking, subject to Section 5 above. Payment is due in full on completion of the service, by cash or card. Unpaid amounts may be referred for debt recovery.
8. Your Vehicle
We take care when washing your vehicle and use trusted products, including Armor All, Turtle Wax (tyre shine) and Meguiar's. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear or defects to your vehicle (for example, existing scratches, chips, loose trim, or worn paint) — please point these out before we begin, where practical. We are not responsible for personal items left in or on the vehicle.
9. Our Right to Refuse or Stop a Job
We may decline to start, or may stop, a job at any time if we reasonably believe the vehicle or site presents a safety risk, if the job is beyond the scope of the service booked, or if we experience abusive, threatening, or unsafe behaviour from anyone present. Where a job is stopped for these reasons, payment may still be due for time and work already completed.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the cost of the service provided. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of time or inconvenience. You agree to be responsible for any loss, claim or damage we suffer arising from inaccurate information you provide, or from your failure to comply with these terms.
11. Your Personal Information
When you make a booking, we collect your name, phone number, email, address and vehicle details in order to deliver and manage your booking. We don't sell or share your information with third parties, other than the services we use to run our business (such as our booking and payment systems).
12. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. We may update these terms from time to time — the current version will always be available on our website.
